Subway Brings Back the $6.99 Footlong Deal
February 28, 2025
Hungry but don’t want to spend all the money in your wallet? Subway has you covered with footlong sandwiches for just $6.99.
Per a press release, the popular promotion has returned to the sub chain for guests hungry for value. Customers can order any footlong sub on the menu for just $6.99. Just use the promo code 699FL on the chain’s app or website.
That means customers can enjoy any chef-crafted sandwich or build their own custom creation. The possibilities are endless with the fast-food chain’s crisp vegetables, freshly sliced meats, cheeses, toppings, and sauces.
Doug Fry, president of Subway North America, stated in the release, “People continue to watch their spending but don’t want to sacrifice quality, quantity, and taste for value when dining on the go. With the return of the $6.99 Any Footlong offer, Subway is delivering on all three, with freshly made, great-tasting sandwiches at an exceptional value.”
The $6.99 footlong deal is available for a limited time at participating locations. However, there are always savings to be had via the chain’s MVP Rewards.
Subway Delivers Everyday Value to Its Customers
Subway’s marketing strategies often focus on value propositions, such as the affordability and customization of their sandwiches. Campaigns like “Eat Fresh” from 2005 emphasize healthy eating.
Other elements of the company’s marketing strategy include the use of the Subway sandwich artist concept. This personalizes the customer experience by allowing them to watch their sandwich being made to their specifications.
The chain’s subs are marketed not just as nutritious meals but also as affordable choices. They use strategies like competitive pricing to ensure the food remains accessible to a broad audience.
In January 2025, Subway announced a limited-time $6.99 Meal of the Day, which included a 6-inch sub, drink, and chips or two cookies. This popular choice helped customers beat the sticker shock they receive at most fast-food restaurants.
To enhance the customer experience, Subway rolled out its newest redesign called “Fresh Forward 2.0” in November 2024. A press release from last November claims updating the interior of restaurants will help further drive franchisee profitability.
These modernized eateries helped to grow sales and reenergize franchisees and their teams, according to the press release. “Fresh Forward 2.0, builds on that foundation, with added brand personality and vibrant décor elements, including bold wall graphics, localized messages and signage, elevated lighting, and warmer wood tones, as well as better support of Subway’s growing digital sales channels,” the release states.
