Electronics Up, Luxury Down Heading Into Holidays

Retail sales are “generally stable” heading into the official start of the holiday selling season, according to MasterCard Advisors’ SpendingPulse. Sales of consumer electronics were up 6.1 percent versus last year for the first half of November while luxury items were off 9.2 percent following an increase in October.
