KFC’s Fried Chicken Toothpaste Is ‘Finger-Lickin’ Good’ — and Not an April Fools’ Joke
April 1, 2025
While the idea of KFC launching a fried chicken-flavored toothpaste might sound like an unusual April Fools’ joke — and in actuality, that’s how the entire notion took root, according to Parade — it’s very much a real thing. And according to the manufacturer, it’s sure to be “finger-lickin’ good.”
Partnering with oral care company Hismile, the fast-food chain will in fact be releasing the spiced toothpaste, complete with Colonel’s secret blend of 11 herbs and spices, in the near future.
“Like biting into a hot, juicy piece of KFC Original Recipe Chicken, this toothpaste is irresistible, coating your teeth in flavor while leaving your mouth feeling fresh and clean,” a company press release announced, as quoted by Food & Wine.
Hismile is no stranger to toothpaste collabs with famous brands, offering toothpaste team-ups with Barbie, Chupa Chups, Wonka, and even a “purple squishee” flavored version as a partnership with iconic animated series The Simpsons.
The KFC flavored toothpaste retails for $13 from the Hismile website, and is presented in a modest 2.1-oz. tube.
“We’ve made your wildest dreams (or weirdest cravings) come true with our KFC Fried Chicken Toothpaste. Inspired by KFC’s legendary 11 herbs and spices, this toothpaste is like biting into a crispy, hot, juicy piece of KFC Original Recipe Chicken. Bring the unmistakable taste of crispy, golden perfection straight to your toothbrush for a full-on flavour takeover,” the product description reads. The toothpaste is fluoride-free.
If you simply can’t get enough of the idea, Hismile is also offering an electric toothbrush to combo up with your KFC toothpaste. Priced at $59, the toothbrush is presented in KFC’s traditional red coloration, with a Colonel Sanders icon emblazoned on the base. Three different modes of brushing are advertised, as well as a built-in timer to ensure you don’t overbrush or forget to turn the unit off.
“This started as an April Fools’ joke, but we thought — why not make it real?” Hismile marketing manager Koban Jones said, per Food & Wine.
“We love pushing boundaries, and what better way to do that than by bringing KFC’s legendary flavors into an everyday essential? This collab is bold, unexpected, and seriously fun,” Jones added.
