Wendy’s has announced that it is expanding its Frosty lineup again, unveiling three new flavors this week in the form of Frosty Fusions. Let’s take a look at what we know about these new options.

According to Men’s Journal, Wendy’s introduced new Frosty variations on May 12. The fast-food giant confirmed that Frosty Fusions have officially made their nationwide debut on the menu after the release of Frosty Swirls on April 15. During its Investor Day event in March 2025, the fast-food restaurant officially announced the two new offerings.

“Frosty is one of the most iconic items on Wendy’s menu, and we know that consumers are increasingly seeking new flavors and variety,” Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. chief marketing officer for The Wendy’s Company, said in a statement. “Our new Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions will give our fans even more ways to enjoy this classic treat.”

For the Frosty Swirls, customers can choose between a Vanilla or Chocolate Frosty base and then add one of three sauce options: Strawberry, Caramel, or Brownie Batter.

In contrast, Frosty Fusions allow consumers to add mix-ins for “extra flavor to the silky smooth Vanilla or Chocolate Frosty.” The three mix-in flavor options offered are Pop-Tarts Strawberry Frosty Fusion, Oreo Brownie Frosty Fusion, and Caramel Crunch Frosty Fusion.

Fresh, Never Frozen Patties Now in Select Colorado Grocery Stores

For fans of the iconic fast-food chain who don’t want to stand in line to get their food, select Colorado grocers will now carry the iconic square burger patties.

In several Colorado locations, Wendy’s has teamed up with Kroger and King Sooper supermarkets to sell its signature burger patties that can be prepared at home, whether in a skillet or on a grill. The patties come in a single-pound four-pack, and the top of the mostly white box is emblazoned with the fast-food chain’s trademark insignia. The patties themselves have never been frozen and should be kept refrigerated while in the grocery store, in keeping with the tagline.

“Wendy’s is pursuing opportunities to bring our fresh, famous food to customers in new and exciting ways,” a spokesperson told USA Today.

“Currently, Wendy’s fans in Columbus, Ohio, and Denver, Colorado, can pick up square patties at their local King Soopers or Kroger,” the spokesperson added. Wendy’s also confirmed to the outlet that this move serves “as a test for possible future expansion,” meaning that if all goes well, those square patties could be making their way toward broader distribution nationwide.

Though some snarky users contributed a few amusing comments, most of the commentary on the announcement made by well-known Instagram gourmet Snackolator was favorable. One critic joked, “Finally, a Wendy’s patty that can be served hot — this might be the first one ever!” Some audience members were confused and thought the product was in the frozen department rather than the refrigerated section.

By midday on May 7, Snackolator’s post had received over 100 comments and more than 12,000 likes.

Wendy’s Summer Menu

Those looking to stop by their nearest Wendy’s for a night out are in for a treat, as the fast-food giant has unveiled a whole new summer menu.

The new Cajun Crunch Sandwich, featuring seasoned chicken, Pepper Jack cheese, and crispy onions, was released on April 16. Additionally, the typical burger toppings of pickles and spicy mustard-slathered lettuce are available.

The company also partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to offer a kids’ meal that includes DC Superheroes and Villains toys as another new menu item. With this special deal for kids and collectors alike, you can get your taste of Batman, Harley Quinn, and Black Lightning.
