An editorial points out that Florida has a $3.6 billion deficit it is looking to close yet Republicans in the state house and legislature refuse to make online merchants collect the $2.4 billion in sales taxes that will be due this year. The opinion piece points out that the Florida Chamber of Commerce and the Florida Retail Association are in favor of making all merchants collect the taxes.
