Obamacare Provision to Put Money in Consumers’ Pockets This Summer

Under the Affordable Care Act’s 80/20 rule, health insurers are required to spend at least 80 percent of consumers’ premium dollars on medical care and quality improvement. Those that spent less than that for marketing, administrative costs, etc. will be sending rebates to consumers this summer. The average rebate will amount to $151 for each family covered by a policy.
