Artificial Sweeteners Tied to Numerous Health Problems

Consumers of artificial sweetener such as aspartame, sucralose and saccharin may be at an increased risk for a variety of health problems including adult onset or Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, according to research by Susan Swithers, a professor of psychological sciences at Purdue and a behavioral neuroscientist. The American Beverage Association is disputing the research findings.
