Gap will shutter one-quarter of its stores

In a statement yesterday, Gap released plans to close 175 U.S. stores, 140 of which will shutter by the end of this fiscal year. Further, the company will cut 250 corporate positions in addition to the unannounced number of jobs to be lost at store level.
