Amazon unveils cheaper Echo device
September 15, 2016
The hockey puck-like Echo Dot can be purchased for $49.99 on Amazon.com. The device offers some of the same features as more expensive models from Amazon including the Alexa voice assistant, music, news, weather, light switch control as well as the ability to use third-party apps. The lower price point will enable owners to place multiple devices around the house; the closest Dot will respond to verbal requests.
