Walmart warns associates about unauthorized labor app
November 16, 2016
OUR Walmart, a group backed by organized labor that has criticized Walmart for its treatment of associates, has released a mobile app called WorkIt that provides information on workplace rights. While Walmart has not told associates it can not use the app – a violation of U.S. labor law – it has suggested they can find all the information they need on the company’s site. The retailer claims the launch of WorkIt is solely about OUR Walmart’s attempt to capture more information about its employees.
