Bay Area Apple Stores hit by brazen robberies

December 6, 2016

Over the weekend, a gang of eight to 10 individuals crashed a rented SUV through the glass storefront of the University Avenue Apple Store in Palo Alto. The vehicle was disabled, forcing the thieves to take off on foot, but not before snatching up a haul of iPhones, iPads and other devices. The crime was the eleventh in a string of robberies targeting San Francisco-area Apple Stores since October.
