Best Buy leverages gaming device scarcity to drive store traffic

Nintendo’s NES Classic Edition has been one of the hottest new products this holiday season, selling out quickly after launch at Walmart and Amazon.com. Gamers drooling for the mini gaming device have been reduced to dashing here and there on rumors of remaining inventory. Best Buy, of course, would love to draw those interested parties to its stores and so has released news in a blog post announcing a flash sale of “limited quantities” of the product to take place at over 1,000 of its locations on Tuesday.
