Population growth is the slowest in 80 years

A Census Bureau report puts the growth in the U.S. population at only 0.7 percent for 2015 — that’s the slowest expansion since 1937 and continues the sluggishness seen so far this decade. As a comparison, growth during the prosperous baby boom years averaged around 1.8 percent. Experts see the current slow-down most likely continuing or slowing further in coming years.
