Big Lots’ store of the future will be more ‘whimsical’

Big Lots president and CEO David Campisi says the chain is working with two Columbus, Ohio-based marketing firms to design a new store look that they plan to first test in a few markets. The main mission, according to reporting via The Wall Street Journal: to counter increasing competition by going for “more of a whimsical, fun shopping experience.”
