Consumers keep moving the loyalty target for retailers

A survey of more than 25,000 consumers by Accenture finds that 78 percent of people say they will more quickly abandon one company for a rival today than three years ago. Part of the challenge facing retailers is the changing nature of what drives loyalty today. Only 34 percent of those surveyed said that what makes them loyal today is the same as in years past.
