HHGregg files for Chapter 11, taking business as usual approach

HHGregg, as expected, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The consumer electronics chain, which announced it would close about 40 percent of its stores last week, will continue to operate 132 stores. The company announced it has lined up financing for its operations going forward and negotiated a deal with an unnamed buyer to acquire assets.
