In a recent interview, Tom McGee, CEO of the International Council of Shopping Centers, acknowledged that Amazon and digital channels are having an impact on the way consumers shop, however he dismissed the notion that malls and shopping center are in trouble, believing that the wave of store openings by online retailers, such as Warby Parker, will help to rejuvenate the industry.
