Macy’s Herald Square to have new Gimbels across the street by the name of Target
March 20, 2017
Macy’s, which has pointed to off-price retail as one of its biggest challenges, isn’t getting any sympathy from Target. The discount chain is opening a 43,000-foot-store on 34th Street in Manhattan, directly across from one of Macy’s Herald Square entrances. The Target location will anchor a 92,000-square-foot retail complex that will also see Sephora, Foot Locker and Swatch as tenants.
