Automation may eliminate 38 percent of U.S. jobs by 2030

Advances in automation and robotics could eliminate more than one-third of current jobs in the U.S. by 2030, according to an analysis by PwC. Jobs such as truck drivers and others in automotive transport are seen to be at the greatest risk of being eliminated. Increased automation should also lead to the creation of new jobs, but these are not expected to replace those being displaced.
