Panera Bread being acquired by private buyer in $7.5 billion deal

JAB Holding Company, which owns Caribou Coffee, Einstein Brothers Bagels, Keurig Green Mountain, Krispy Kreme, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, and Stumptown Coffee Roasters, will pay $7.5 billion to acquire Panera Bread. JAB’s offer represents a 30 percent premium to Panera’s weighted stock price for 30 days as of March 31.
