Brian Cornell, CEO of Target, didn’t approve a company blog post asserting the chain’s policy allowing employees and shoppers to choose bathrooms based on their gender identity. The public pronouncement led to calls for a boycott from conservative Christian organizations that alleged that Target’s policy made it easier for sexual predators to find victims.
