Report says 20 percent of malls may have to go

Fewer than one-third of all malls in the U.S. generate roughly 70 percent of the all the business done in these facilities. The result of declining customer traffic will mean that 20 percent of malls will either need to be closed or repurposed over the next 10 years, according to Cowen & Company.
