Abercrombie & Fitch confirmed yesterday that it has held preliminary discussions with parties that have expressed an interest in making a deal to acquire the clothing retailer. Parties reported as possible suitors include private equity firms and hedge funds as well as retailers such as American Eagle Outfitters and Express.
