Dick’s Sporting Goods falls short of Wall Street’s expectations

Same-store sales including online grew 2.4 percent for Dick’s Sporting Goods in the first quarter. The chain’s shares took a hit as the gain was below the 3.6 percent projected by analysts. Dick’s was expected to have performed better after its rival – Sports Authority – went out of business.
