Lowe’s stock takes hit on sales and earnings miss

Lowe’s stock fell as much as seven percent after the home improvement chain posted a same-store sales increase of 1.9 percent, which fell short of the 2.9 percent expected by analysts. The company’s earnings an adjusted $1.03 per share were, also below the $1.06 forecast for the chain.
