L Brands’ bad quarter was better than Wall Street expected

Comparable-store sales at L Brands fell seven percent in May as Victoria’s Secret saw its number decline 14 percent. Same-store sales at Bath & Body Works improved six percent. L Brands shares were up about two percent in early trading as the company’s numbers beat Wall Street’s low expectations.
