Aldi announces major expansion plan

Aldi, the hard discount grocery chain, plans to spend $3.4 billion, to expand its store count from 1,600 today to 2,500 by 2022. The grocer announced earlier this year plans to add 400 new stores by 2018 and invest $1.6 billion in remodeling 1,300 locations.
