A Reuters investigation has uncovered a network of bogus online stores, ostensibly selling household items but that are in fact being used as a front to process unlawful gambling transactions. That practice, referred to as “transaction laundering,” sets up a system by which one online merchant handles a payment card transaction on behalf of another.
