Vintage Capital makes $800M offer for Rent-A-Center

Vintage Capital has sent a letter offering to acquire Rent-A-Center and take it private for $800 million. Rent-A-Center’s board rejected the offer, which equates to $15 per share, as “significantly” under-valuing its worth. The company’s shares closed at $11.10 per share in trading yesterday.
