Echo is biggest seller on Amazon’s Prime Day

Amazon.com used steep discounts on Echo, the company’s voice-activated speaker and digital assistant, to drive sales of the device during its 30-hour Prime Day sale. The e-tailer, which reported consumers spending at record levels during the event, also mentioned its Fire tablets as a big seller. Amazon reported that customers in the U.S. were ordering more than 6,000 items per minute.
