Retailers remind Congress of opposition to BAT

The National Retail Federation has sent a letter to members of Congress urging them to focus their efforts on tax reform and forget about implementation of a border adjustment tax (BAT). Retailers have argued that taxing imports will lead to large increases in the prices that Americans pay for many goods.
