Landlords look to rent vacant grocery stores

The closing of seven Martin’s Food Markets as well as stores that were former homes to Food Lion and other grocers have left the Richmond, VA market with about 400,000-square-feet of space for other businesses. While landlords would prefer to bring in grocers, it is likely that dollar stores, health clubs and a wide variety of other businesses will take up some if not most of the space that is currently vacant.
