Simon Properties sues Starbucks over Teavana closures

Mall operator Simon Property Group filed a lawsuit against Starbucks on August 21, seeking an injunction to prevent the company from closing 78 Teavana locations in the state of Indiana. Starbucks announced in July that it would close all 379 Teavana stores due to poor performance. “We are responding to the lawsuit and are working to resolve this dispute,” a Starbucks spokesperson told Fortune.
