The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania has confirmed rue21’s reorganization plan, making it likely that the retailer will emerge from bankruptcy protection within the next four months. The retailer, which announced plans to close about 400 stores before it filed for Chapter 11, said it is pleased with the progress it has made with performance ahead of its liquidity plan.
