Shares of Bed Bath & Beyond fell 13 percent in after-hours trading following the retailer’s announcement that earnings per share for the year are likely to fall 34 percent below last year. Same-store sales at the company fell 2.6 percent in the last quarter, much worse than the 0.6 percent decline expected by analysts.
