Luxury brands not jumping on Amazon’s bandwagon

Talks between Amazon.com and Swatch broke down, in part, because the watchmaker didn’t feel as though selling on the online platform would add value to its brand. Other luxury brands are also holding out on joining Amazon partly because they fear a loss of control that would undermine the exclusivity that helps keep their prices at a premium.
