J.C. Penney is pushing up promotions and store openings compared to last year’s holidays season with the goal of delivering improved results. The department store chain put out its 72-page Black Friday circular on Nov. 1, a full week ahead of 2016. It also plans to open its stores two hours earlier on Thanksgiving and keep them open for 32 straight hours.
