Retailers try to work around UPS’s seasonal shipping surcharge

Some retailers are shifting to other carriers and/or giving shoppers the option to delay packages being shipped to their homes in an effort to get around seasonal peak fees being charged by UPS. The delivery service is adding a surcharge for packages delivered between Nov. 19 and Dec. 3.
