People born between 1962 and 1971 should be in their prime earning years, but many are bringing home less than what they expected at this stage in their life. The dissatisfaction many 45-to-54-year-olds feel with their financial situation is not expected to change in the near term as even older Americans remain on the job longer than they have in the past.
