Startup will work with stylists to create custom haircare formulations

Prose, a New York-based startup, is raising $5.2 million of venture capital to fund its new service that will consult with hair salons and their stylists to create custom formulations of shampoos, conditioners and hair masks for customers. Salons in NYC and San Francisco and New York that have gotten on board the program will receive a 25 percent commission on sales.
