‘Lifer’ named Stater Bros. president

George Frahm has been promoted to president of Stater Bros. Markets. Mr. Frahm, who began his career with the company in 1973, will report directly to CEO Pete Van Helden, whom he is succeeding. Mr. Van Helden succeeded longtime CEO Jack Brown as the chain’s leader in 2016.
