At an NRF 2018 session entitled “The brick and mortar store strikes back!,” panelists said that retailers recognize the need to use technology to optimize their businesses, but warned against solutions that fail to address real-world needs — i.e., giving consumers what they want — and that can scale as the company expands its processes.
