FDA is ready to regulate nicotine levels in cigarettes

The Food and Drug Administration published a notice in the Federal Register that suggests it may require tobacco companies to reduce nicotine levels in cigarettes. The FDA funded an analytical study that found reducing nicotine levels would result in eight million fewer tobacco-related deaths by the end of the century.
