Cloud services are exploding and all that centralized processing eats up a lot of energy resources. The biggest providers, including Google and Amazon, are relying on solar and wind power to fulfill those needs, driving growth in those energy industries. Google says that as of last year, all its facilities and data centers were running on 100 percent renewable electricity.
