Nordstrom’s shares take a hit on same-store sales slowdown

Nordstrom’s full-price retail business saw same-store sales increase 0.7 percent in the first quarter, down from its 2.4 percent gain in the fourth quarter. Its off-price comp sales were up 0.4 percent, compared to 3.7 percent in the preceding quarter. The retailer’s share price fell as much as seven percent on the news.
