Starbucks announces plan to ditch plastic straws

Starbucks has announced plans to stop using plastic straws in any of its stores by 2020. The company said it would begin adding one-piece, “strapless” lids for cold drinks. The chain uses more than a billion plastic straws through its 28,000 stores across the globe.
