Amazon’s Prime Day sales increase more than 50 percent despite crashes

Early technical glitches at the kickoff of the 36-hour Prime Day event apparently did not deter shoppers from spending big on Amazon.com. The giant e-tailer said sales during the first 10 hours of the event grew more quickly than last year, with revenues during the opening three hours running 54 percent ahead of 2017.
