U.K. plans to ban plastic straws

The government of the United Kingdom is planning to ban the distribution and sale of plastic straws, stirrers and Q-Tips, sometime between October 2019 and October 2020. The goal is to reduce the amount of plastic waste that finds its way into landfills, waterways and other parts of the environment.
