Creditors press Sears to call it quits

In a new filing on Friday, a group of unsecured creditors demanded that Sears abandon plans to revive the retail chain and set about closing down all its remaining stores. The group asserts that the notion Sears can stay in business is “nothing more than wishful thinking” and that its best chance to maximize the value of its current holdings is to hold going out of business sales while still able.
