Anecdotal reports from thrift store operators indicates that viewers of the Netflix series, “Tidying Up,” are taking seriously host Marie Kondo’s recommendations to only hold on to items that put a “spark” in one’s life. Thrift stores in the Tampa area say they see a decided uptick in donations, and are encouraging same with signs that read, “Donate to us what doesn’t spark joy for you. It may be for someone else.”
